Fifteen leave categories, three days to six months

Leave on this portal is a paid filing packet. You choose a posted category and a duration. The combined amount is shown before you submit. An administrator reviews payment, then the packet. Email is the only status channel.

How a leave filing is built

Each live leave type has a posted base amount. Each live duration (from 3 days through 6 months) may add a posted extra. The portal will not accept a total below the desk minimum.

Attach a soldier unique code so name, rank, unit, and next of kin match the record. Upload the identity documents the form asks for. Then pay with wire, crypto, or gift card using only the details on that request.

Leave is a form plus payment proof — not a command signature on this site.

Categories you will see on the form

The live list is controlled by the administrator. Typical packets cover ordinary rest, emergency travel, medical recovery, parental time, moves, terminal leave, rest after a tour, short passes, permissive travel, excess or advance leave, special liberty, caregiver time, and administrative leave.

Open the leave form for the current names, descriptions, and amounts. Do not file a category that does not match the soldier’s situation just because it is cheaper.

After you submit

  • You receive a reference by email.
  • Staff confirm the payment method you chose.
  • The packet is reviewed for completeness and matching unique code.
  • Approval or follow-up is emailed to the address on the filing. Paying does not guarantee approval.

Questions on this topic

What is Military Unit Portal and what can I do here?

Military Unit Portal is a personnel support desk for U.S. service members and authorized family. From one account session you can file paid military leave (fifteen categories), retirement, redeployment, and service-dog adoption; order care packs and call cards; attach a soldier unique code so the request is tied to the correct record; and track status with the reference emailed after you submit. Administrators review identity, payment proof, and the packet before a status change is mailed. About the portal

What is the difference between the public site and the soldier workspace?

The public site uses the same top navigation as the homepage: services, track, how it works, help, and contact. After a soldier signs in with unique code and password, the layout switches to a personnel sidebar with the bio, awards, current and last team, leave history, My requests, and paid services. Guest family stays on the public menu. Signing in as a soldier never logs a guest out of a different browser, and a guest session never replaces soldier sign-in on a shared computer. How it works

What should I have ready before I start a filing?

Have a recent face photo, tax identification for the person filing, a reachable email you will check, and the payment method you will use. A government photo ID (passport, military ID/CAC, driver license, or national ID) is required on retirement, redeployment, adoption, shop, and flights. On a leave filing, if the filer has no government photo ID they may declare that and still reserve the packet. Leave, retirement, and redeployment also need the soldier unique code. Service-dog adoption does not. Leave packets also need travel dates, duration, and destination. Retirement needs service and forwarding-address details. Redeployment needs assignment and dependent information if family will relocate. Service-dog adoption needs a cleared dog (age 2+ and fit), a 1,000–30,000 character personality, and a placement address.

How does a soldier sign in?

Open Soldier access and enter the unique code exactly as issued, plus the portal password. Both fields are required. The code alone does not open the personnel file. After a successful sign-in you land in the soldier workspace. Sign out when you leave a shared device. Soldier access

Where are rank, unit, awards, current team, and last leave shown?

Those fields live on the personnel file after soldier sign-in. An administrator posts decorations, current team, last team, and completed leave history. You cannot edit them yourself. Last leave on the profile is historical; it is not the same as submitting a new paid leave request, which creates a new reference, fee, and review queue.
